New FCPS "Student Responsibilities" Regulation Could Be Worse than Imagined, School Board Member Exposes Policy as Threat to Free Speech

On June 9, the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) school board voted 10-2 to force Fairfax County Public Schools students to sign a document declaring their support for "transgender rights." However, the totalitarian new policy may go even further than that, as a sitting school board member (Elizabeth Schultz of Springfield) has publicly stated that the new policy could lead to expulsions as a result of online or other speech criticizing the transgender ideology.

Recently, national political news website ran an expose which included quotes from sitting school board member Elizabeth Schultz which expose the threat that this policy poses to student free speech.

The article appears below (emphasis added by ResistanceMedia):

Recall Fairfax School Board Member Ryan McElveen

Tuesday, June 21, 2016
By ResistanceMedia staff

On June 9, the Fairfax School Board voted to not only fully implement the new "Gender identity" policy, but also to include it in their "Student Rights and Responsibilities" handbook and to FORCE STUDENTS TO SIGN THEIR AGREEMENT TO THE POLICY IN ORDER TO BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND SCHOOL. When public officials overstep their electoral mandate and begin behaving in a manner unacceptable to the public, a recall election is an option. If citizens collect enough recall petition signatures, the Circuit Court wi…

FCPS Will Force Students to Sign Pro-Transgender Document

June 13, 2016

The Fairfax County School Board forced through a controversial policy change which will not only immediately force local schools to allow individuals to use whichever bathrooms, locker rooms, showers, and other facilities that they want, but will include those changes in the 2016-2017 "Student Rights and Responsibilities" document -- which students are required to sign in order to be allowed to attend school!

At the June 9 school board meeting, several parents were removed from the room by the Stasi FCPS security guards.

From the (biased) Washington Post, June 10, 2016:

The Fairfax County School Board set off a furious debate when it decided to amend its student handbook to ban discrimination against transgender students, a move that angered some board members who saw the move as an 11th-hour change without proper vetting.
The board this week voted 9 to 3 to pass the amendment after a debate that stretched to three hours and led the district’s head of security to e…
