Poll Results: Citizens Overwhelmingly Reject School Internet Censorship

From June 30 to July 21, 2016, conducted a poll which asked readers if they supported school censorship of internet speech. There were three options in the poll:

No! Under no circumstances may schools interfere with online free speech. (Support: 84%)In extreme situations, online speech may be penalized by schools, but the power must be heavily restricted by school policy and law. (Support: 12%)Yes, schools have a responsibility to shape students' beliefs and values - and that includes penalizing students for "undesirable" online speech. (Support: 2%)Other views (Support: 2%)
This shows that citizens overwhelmingly reject the censorship that "Lyin" Ryan McElveen and "Korrupt" Karen Garza have proposed.

Impeach Terry McAullife

The citizens of Virginia must, through their representatives, impeach and remove Governor Terry McAullife as soon as possible. Here's why:

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe announced recently that he would bypass the Virginia Supreme Court and illegally sign 12,000 separate clemency petitions (without individually reviewing the circumstances of each petition) in order to allow felons to vote in Virginia. This move is obviously politically motivated, coming less than 4 months before a major presidential election -- in which Virginia is a major swing state.

Terry McAullife has repeatedly admitted that he is a personal friend of Hillary Clinton. It is definitely reasonable to believe that Terry McAullife made these decisions as a political favor -- or, possibly, because a little money changed hands.

Donald Trump advertises himself as "the law and order candidate", a message obviously not attractive to felons. This move would definitely favor Hillary Clinton in 2016, and proba…

Clinton-Kaine Education Views Might Make You Rethink Public Schools

We know what Hillary Clinton wants for public K-12 education. She wants universal government preschool, despite the well-documented failure of government preschool to deliver even a fraction of what the Hillaryites promise. She wants federal “education SWAT teams” to “help” struggling schools (that idea creates interesting visuals). She wants more federal control over school discipline to enforce “school climates” of which she approves. And all education should be geared toward a sweeping, centralized, government-controlled system of workforce-development.

The centerpiece of his proposals on education when he ran for governor was to install universal government preschool for all Virginia four-year-olds.

FCPS Deceiving Parents About School Lunches

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) has an article on their official website entitled "Why Buy a School Lunch." The article contains elitist snobbery, misrepresentations, and outright lies, as well as the famous "straw man" fallacy.

This is the full text of the article:

Lunches are planned by registered dietitians and chef to reflect the latest nutrition science by the Institute of Medicine and Dietary Guidelines of Americans. School lunches provide nutrient rich meals at a great price.
A study has shown that students who buy school lunches are more likely to consume fruit, vegetables, and dairy foods than those who have lunches from home.  Lunches from home are also more likely to have snacks high in sugar and/or fat and non-100% fruit juice.

In this period of rising food costs, a comparison of a lunch brought from home with school lunch prices shows the school lunch is a nutritious bargain.
First of all, the elitists at FCPS apparently believe that a nutri…

Common Sense Reform for FCPS -- the Citizens' Petition

What can we do to reform Fairfax County Public Schools? There is certainly a lot to do! This is a list of 11 reforms which would decimate the entrenched FCPS Mafia, promote greater parent involvement, and protect Constitutional principles.

All readers of ResistanceMedia are IMPLORED to contact the FCPS school board and send them a link to this article with a message about how these reforms are needed. A referendum on these reforms is needed, and we will be considering a campaign to put some of these reforms on the ballot in an upcoming referendum.

By clicking this link, you will be able to fill out the form to contact the school board. Please select "School Board All", or the member of your choice.

We are also creating a petition on about this issue. This is the link:

"Cyberbullying" -- The Path to School Tyranny

"Any society that would give up essential liberty to gain a little temporary safety deserves neither and lose both."
-- Benjamin Franklin (paraphrased)

Schools demand control over students' social media postings in order to prevent "cyberbullying" - students bullying others online. The problem of "cyberbullying" is certainly a very real problem - and a symptom of a larger cultural collapse in public schools. However, the problem of "cyberbullying" (and other forms of bullying) was largely created by the public schools. How can we expect the same people who created a problem to ride in on a white horse and solve it?

Legitimate "cyberbullying" is already forbidden by every major social network in operation. Why do we need the government to censor online communications to stop "cyberbullying?" For example, this is from Facebook's official policies:

"Facebook offers these tools to help you deal with bullying and harassme…

The Truth About the Dab: Are Students Simulating Cocaine Use in New Fad?

In the past few months, a new fad has developed among public school students. Last year, it was screaming the number "21", then it was the professional basketball player LeBron James. After that frenzy faded, the new trend was pretending to summon a demon in a bizarre ritual called the "Charlie Charlie Challenge."

Now, in public schools across America, students are performing a "dance" called the "dab" where "the dancer simultaneously drops the head while raising an arm and the elbow in a gesture that has been noted to resemble sneezing."

The "dance" was publicized in November of 2015 by professional football player Cam Newton, who plays for the Carolina Panthers (rap and hip-hop "artists" had already been using the "dance" for several months at that time.) However, there is evidence that this "dance" has existed in the drug community for many years prior to when it gained national media attention.…

Update: FCPS Reschedules Transgender Vote for July 21, Protest Scheduled

On Thursday, July 21, the Fairfax County School Board will discuss the new transgender "guidelines" which will go into effect in fall 2016. The "guidelines" include language which could eviscerate free speech for FCPS students, both in and out of school. It also opens up private facilities such as restrooms, showers, and locker rooms to anyone, regardless of biological gender, as long as the person claims to "identify" with the gender that the facility serves.

Unlike the regular meeting, the "work session" is at the FCPS Gatehouse Administration Building, this meeting is at 8115 Gatehouse Road, Falls Church, VA  22042.

ResistanceMedia is planning a protest outside of the meeting, which is from 4 to 6 PM. Please bring signs, bullhorns, and other protest equipment as well as plenty of water and sunblock (you will be outside in 90 degree heat for several hours.)

Fairfax School Board Cancels Transgender Vote

Fairfax County Public Schools has canceled their July 14 vote on the new transgender policies, which would eviscerate personal privacy as well as free speech.

The ResistanceMedia Twitter account @schooltyranny16 has made 7 separate tweets in the past 3 days which either discuss the protest or the transgender policy and use the hashtag #FCPS or tag the official @fcpsnews account.

The FCPS School Board has not set a new date for the meeting.

It's time to PROTEST school tyranny

NOTE: The majority of this information is out of date as of July 12, 2016. FCPS canceled their transgender vote late last night. They have not set a new date for the vote.

Petition: Respect ALL student rights in "nondiscrimination" policy

Recently, Fairfax County parents started a petition urging the school board to reconsider their reckless and politically motivated "nondiscrimination" policy, which opens up previously private and gender-segregated facilities such as bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers to anyone, regardless of biological gender.

I think that this petition is slightly moderate (a person cannot biologically change their gender), but the parents who created this petition are definitely right in that the policy is severely flawed.

The petition is available at this link:

We, the concerned parents of Fairfax County Public School (FCPS) students, unite demanding all of our student's rights be fairly respected in the forthcoming regulation detailing how to implement the gender identity addition to the nondiscrimination policy (Policy 1450). We are …

School Tyrants Call Police on Student for Calling Snack "Brownies"

NOTE:We stand for freedom of conscience and expression (of course, the standard 'yelling fire in a movie theater' exception applies), including the right to hold views that others believe are "racist." Even if this 9-year-old child DID say something "racist," it still would be completely tyrannical to call the police to harass him. However, in this case, he was simply referring to the SNACK that he was eating as a "BROWNIE." Everyone responsible for this should immediately be fired from their jobs.

On June 16, police were called to an unlikely scene: an end-of-the-year class party at the William P. Tatem Elementary School in Collingswood.A third grader had made a comment about the brownies being served to the class. After another student exclaimed that the remark was "racist," the school called the Collingswood Police Department, according to the mother of the boy who made the comment. The police officer spoke to the student, who is 9, sai…
