From the Loudon Times:

Donald Trump is expected to host a campaign rally in Loudoun County on Tuesday, according to multiple sources familiar with the campaign.

The Trump campaign is in the process of finalizing the logistics for the event, which is likely to be in Ashburn, according to sources.

Loudoun, a pivotal swing county in battleground Virginia, is sure to play host to rallies for both campaigns in the months ahead. Loudoun went for Barack Obama in 2008 -- the first time in decades Virginia went blue in a presidential contest -- and again in 2012.

Trump has been under fire in recent days for his comments toward the parents of a fallen soldier, Capt. Humayun Khan of Virginia. The parents condemned Trump during the Democratic National Convention.

Former GOP presidential nominee and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) today was the latest high-profile Republican to rebuke Trump's remarks, which questioned if the mother of the soldier “wasn't allowed to speak.”

“While our party has bestowed upon him the nomination, it is not accompanied by unfettered license to defame those who are the best among us,” McCain said in a statement

Trump leapfrogged Clinton in several polls following the Republican National Convention, though the Democrat now appears to have regained her lead. The latest Real Clear Politics average of national polls shows Clinton with a 2.2 percentage-point lead.
